Before founding EMI, Spencer was an RF Hardware Engineer at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, contributing to next-generation antenna systems for classified aerospace platforms. His technical expertise spans mechanical design, thermodynamics, additive manufacturing, and systems integration, underpinned by deep experience in precision engineering and product reliability.

An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) by training, Spencer brings medical insight to EMI’s technology, translating user needs into practical engineering solutions. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Grand Valley State University, where he led research and design teams in aerodynamics, composites, and biomechanical testing.
